I realized it's been 10 months since I updated this journal. Some pretty big things happened in that time. I went back to school after a brief hiatus. I am now studying photography at Columbia College Chicago, and it's been pretty great. My first semester was a big success. It was my first exposure to shooting film (b/w), and it culminated with totally rocking my final project and even having a print chosen for exhibition next semester. It has all been pretty exciting. And to certain extent has given me some much-needed confidence. I have always received praise from friends and family for my work, which is great, but it has been something else entirely to receive so much from peers and professors and working professionals. I still don't regard my work as highly as some of you might want me to believe, but I'm getting closer. And really, without all of your comments from the beginning, I probably wouldn't have made it this far. So thanks.
